Lupo Featured in BOF’s AI Guide to Fashion Marketing
Business of Fashion
Chairman Anthony V. Lupo was featured in The Business of Fashion’s “The Fashion Marketer’s Guide to AI” on how brands can navigate the evolving technology.
Though no federal regulations for artificial intelligence (AI) have been enacted, a New York state law is set to take effect in June and will require business to disclose the use of AI-generated humans in their marketing content.
Tony said that as laws continue to fluctuate, “when in doubt, disclose.”
He added that companies are likely to face some amount of criticism, especially in the early days of AI experimentation in ads. Brands need to ensure their campaigns created using AI, whether in part or in full, are a fit for what their specific audience can tolerate and expect from the brand.
“It’s really having your finger on the pulse,” Tony said. “But that’s no different than some of these other brands that did controversial ads that went wrong.”
